day three.
junior year was pivotal for me. they say that junior year is the year when you become your own, are supported by wonderful friends. and begin to not only delve deep into academia, but also, begin to struggle with life as a christ follower. all of the above happened. my heart is overwhelmed when i think back to my junior year and all the things i learned.
it was the year when i became that coveted RA, that i always wanted to be. it was that year that i developed meaningful friendships that will last a lifetime. it was the year when finance class and business law got the best of me. but most importantly, it was the year when all of my hope lay in the identity of christ. there was not one defining moment, but day by day, week by week; i felt as if i was being refined into what the lord had planned for that season of my life to look like. i would say that junior year was the school year that made the whole "college experience" the most transformational.
the people that i served and created relationships with inspired me to be an authentic person. people like elli, meg, becca, elisa, christy and christie, the girls on my hall, and the wonderful people i met along the way. thank you for showing me love, mercy and grace.
you're a beautiful soul erica and i'm blessed to do life with you :)
